I assume it is very clear that Arabic prosody is quantitative , English is a stress
( nabr) language. Even if the same terminology is used the designation is different.
It took me years after that statement to realize and prove that Arabic prosody
is both quantitative and qualitative simultaneously .-except khabab- quality
controls quantity. This feature characterizesArabic prosody because it is main
feature is watad 3 which is undividable to 1 2 . As far as I know Arabic prosody
the only prosody in the world that has this watad associated with its properties
in Arabic that affect sabab 2 behavior depending on its position relative to it
